Black and white illustrations throughout by Ernest H Shepard. Map illustrated endpapers and pastedowns. Gilt top text block edge. Pages are bright and clean with mild tanning to edges and free endpapers.

Mild cracking to gutters on occasion, however binding remains firm with all pages attached. Previous owners' inscription in pen to front endpaper and half title page. Mild foxing to text block edges.

Illustrations are bright and clear, free of any colouring. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild sunning, staining and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends.

Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean. This book has been inspected carefully by hand by trained book valuers to ensure the condition description is as accurate as possible for this exact copy pictured. It has a LDPE 04 logo on it, which means that it can be recycled with other soft plastic (such as carrier bags). Our cardboard packaging is also 100% recyclable and can be recycled kerbside.
