Ublished by Methune, London; 1926. This is a beautiful first edition/first impression of this timeless childrens classic by A. Bound in its original dark green boards with gold gilt detailing and lettering.

There is some minor bumping to the spine ends and board corners and a small mark just a couple of milimetres in diameter just below the gilt illustration on the front board. There is rubbing to the rear board, with some discolouration, but the binding remains sound and the book is very smart. Inside, there is some toning to the endpapers, but otherwise the pages are exceptionally clean and bright with just the odd age spot or hint of toning to the rims of pages.

Overall this lovely book is in Near Fine condition and really is in beautiful condition. The dustjacket is also in Near Fine condition. There is some minor bumping to the spine ends and board corners, and some slight rubbing in places, particularly over the authors name on the front panel, with some loss.

There is the odd small mark, with one in particular on the front panel, which is quite dark and measures about a centimetre in diameter. However, there is only slight darkening to the spine, which is common for this book, and the jacket is overall bright and in very nice condition indeed. It is the very rare original first issue jacket, with 117th thousand at the top of the rear flap. Overall, this is a particularly lovely copy of this beloved rare first edition. It would be a definite investment for any collector to add this to their collection, as it is sure to grow in value over the years. The item "Winnie the Pooh by A.
