1927 1ST / 1ST EDITION of NOW WE ARE SIX. The book is a 1st Edition / 1st Printing, published in 1927. The book is in good condition, bound in red cloth with gilt illustration to the front and gilt title to the spine. There is minimal bumping to the corners and edges and slight fading to the spine, other than this it is quite clean. The half title page is tanned, but the rest of the pages are mostly clean and bright with only the odd blemish, the pages are gilt edged to the top.

There is a tear to page 45, it runs almost to the length of half the page, now repaired with archival tape. The illustrated endpapers are also clean and bright with just a very small old bookseller's sticker to one of the front endpapers (see picture). There are no personal inscriptions or bookplates in the book. The dust jacket is not original but is dated to 1927 - 2nd printing, also in good condition with a little foxing, a few very small chips and a tear to the top front left. It still bears the original price of 7/6 net on the spine.
