This is a rare, deluxe edition (light blue version) collectable 1st edition, 1st printing of WINNIE THE POOH - one of the classics of children's literature - and this book is in average condition (especially considering it is nearly 100 years old). Printed by Methuen & Co. In Great Britian, and published in 1926, it is a TRUE 1ST EDITION, 1ST PRINTING, deluxe edition with only the one date "First Published in 1926" listed in the book. There were 5,500 first editions, first printings of this book, with about 3,500 still in existence and this is one of them!

There is no colouring nor inscriptions anywhere in the book. The front cover and spine are intact. The spine is in rough shape and taped in places but intact. All 158 pages are present. The illustrated maps of "100 Aker Wood" in the front & back look good.

The guilted lettering and picture of Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh is clear on the cover. The gold tint at the top of the book is still evident. An authentic 1st, 1st deluxe copy of A A Milne's iconic children's title, with wonderful Ernest Shepard drawings inside.

This book is likely to increase in value in the run-up to the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh in 2026. This book will make a wonderful, unique gift to someone special.
