A true 1st edition with correct colour, guilding on front and top of pages with important "First Published in 1926" statement (see photographs) Book is in Good condition apart from markings on spine and front/back cover. Pages and binding in very good condition. Slight age related yellowing to 100 AKER WOOD map. Inscription to VB (Violet Bason) in front of book 5th Feb 1927 Given as a gift in Feb 1927 by Cecil Lucas Phillips who was a noted author in his own right. My wife is related to Lucas Phillips, and the recipient of the book who is also related and so we can verify.
