This is a complete set of R. John Wright Pocket Pooh including the lithograph backdrop with original boxes. The dolls are in perfect condition from a smoke free facility.

All items come with their certificates of authenticity except for Pooh and Rabbit They have their doll number on their backs on the R John Wright sewn on tags. The Cardboard lithograph background has minor dents from display, nothing serious. Boxes have slight discoloration due to age and storage.

The dolls have all been displayed in a glass cabinet. Also included as a gift is the book Characters of R. John Wright An Unauthorized Identification & Price Guide, signed by R.

John Wright "Pocket Series" began in 1993 with the release of Pocket Pooh which measured just 5 inches tall. In 1999, after Christopher Robin and the animal characters were released in the same miniature scale, a special lithograph background was designed to display the entire series. The backdrop featured an illustration of the Hundred Acre Wood by E. Shepard watercolored by Susan Wright.

The printed lithographic background was then mounted on a heavy tri-fold board which opened for easy display behind the characters. When closed, the backdrop ties in the front with a handsome grey grosgrain ribbon which includes the RJW brass button.

In addition to the litho background, the Pocket Series set shown above includes Winnie-the-Pooh; Piglet; Eeyore; Tigger; Rabbit; Kanga & Roo; and Owl. Each is fully jointed and made of custom-made wool plush with glass eyes and hand-embroidered features.

Christopher Robin stands approximately 12 tall and is in perfect scale to accompany the other characters. Skillfully fashioned from 100% wool felt, Christopher features a realistically sculpted face, torso, and limbs. The facial features are delicately hand painted and the wig is hand-knotted of the finest mohair. The authentic period costume includes finely finished cotton clothing and cobbled leather sandals.
