Teddy Bear Artist Jackie Melerskis Gilmur Rudley 9 1/2 Mohair Winnie the Pooh

  

American bear artist Jackie Melerski of Gilmur Rudley Bears handmade this wonderful Pooh Bear in the 1990s. He has short gold mohair on head and body where he does not wear his short red mohair jacket.

Ribbons and bell adorn his neck. He is 5 way jointed, is in mint condition, and has his original sewn in tag. I kept him in a case at shows to take orders. Otherwise he is like new. He is semi hard stuffed with beads in his belly, his eyes are glass beads.

A collector reminded me he should have come with a tag, and after some searching, I found it! Paper tag with artist info but also a round wooden tag with a hand painted pic of this bear on one side and his name P Wee Pookey? , number (#3) and year he was made, 1995. I have put pics up. He is part of my extensive remaining bear inventory and is new old store stock stored in my non smoking home.
