These figurines have a shiny glaze. Most white spots in photos are reflections of light from nearby windows.

Piglet has a teeny tiny dot of paint missing on his back (see 5th photo). Owl has a white paint spot on the bottom edge of his back feathers (see 9th photo). It appears to have been made that way.
